About Us
Public Health Alliance International Ghana (PHAIG) is a non-profit health think tank that was founded in December 2021 by Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye MD MPH MBA and Dr. Prince Samuel Nuamah MD MPH. The organization aims to address the many health issues facing Ghana and the sub-Saharan African region by conducting evidence-based research, health policy analysis, and stakeholder engagements.
PHAIG seeks to bridge the wide health knowledge gap among Ghanaians by disseminating research information on various health issues to facilitate the enactment or revision of health policies and their acceptance by the public. The organization’s primary objectives include conducting evidence-based research into various health issues and publishing the results on easily accessible public platforms, driving health policy and infrastructure changes at all levels of health governance, and liaising with other health organizations to leverage synergy in finding practical solutions to health-related issues in the sub-region.
Through stakeholder engagements, PHAIG aims to bring more visibility to pertinent health issues within sub-Saharan Africa. The organization also collaborates with stakeholders in various industries, offering research-based recommendations to adopt practicable solutions to environmental health problems associated with industrial activities.
PHAIG is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians and the sub-Saharan African region by providing evidence-based research and advocating for health policy and infrastructure changes.
