Dr. Prince Samuel Nuamah is a Ghanaian-trained physician, public health expert and health entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in both private and public health sectors. His specialty and interest areas include global health security, climate and environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, clinical and health policy research, health entrepreneurship, epidemiology, and biostatistics. As a senior consultant currently working with Dev-Afrique Development Advisors, a social-impact organization of strategy and development professionals committed to solving complex challenges on the African continent, he has led several high impact internationally funded projects especially within sub-Saharan Africa. He is the co-founder and vice-president of Public Health Alliance International Ghana (PHAIG), a civil society health organization and think tank that addresses pertinent health problems such as Malaria, HIV, Reproductive health, Chronic diseases, neglected tropical diseases etc. within sub-Saharan Africa and drives policy changes through health research. He has also authored and co-authored several research publications.

After attaining his medical degree (MBChB) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi in 2010, Dr. Nuamah returned to Accra to work as medical officer in Korle-Bu Teaching hospital and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge). After working in various capacities as Chief Medical Officer and Hospital/Clinic manager for various organizations such as International SOS, Goldfields Ghana, West African Rescue Association and Queiroz Galvao, he left Ghana for a study abroad in the US. In May 2016, he obtained a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health, where he also got certified in Occupational and Environmental Health. During his time at Bloomberg, he served as the Career/Alumni liaison for the JB grant Global Health society. He also obtained a certificate in Business communication and Project Management from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

Dr. Nuamah originally hails from Wassa Asikuma, a small town in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal in the Western region of Ghana. He is an old student of the Presbyterian Boys School Secondary School (Presec-Legon), and the immediate past Vice-President of the North America Alumni chapter of the school.
